This Sunday, Decmber 11th, 8PM-midnight, my partner Dj Ajobo (Allison Jonelle Boron, copy editor for Elmore Magazine) and myself are back DJing at 116 Macdougal (116 MacDougal St, NYC) for our monthly Where the Action Is sixties-themed dance party.
This one is Christmas-Themed and features a Phil Spector Look-Alike Contest! So wear your best Phil Spector looking getup! At 10 PM, we’re going to play all of the classic Phil Spector Christmas album, A Christmas Gift To You From Phil Spector.” Where the Action Is is the only place to hear this sonic gem in it’s entirety this holiday season.
As per usual, cover is free and there are some killer drink specials. The party also features wild sixties psychedelic visuals curated and mixed by yours truly!
Where the Action Is remains NYC’s grooviest night to hear the best in 60’s Pop, Garage, Girl Groups, Dance-Craze, Bubble Gum and other ephemera! RSVP on Facebook:
